About the book and program:

Back to Balance: Heal Your Spine, Heal Your Life is a self-directed healing and strengthening program for your spine, especially focused on the lumbar and cervical areas. It was designed to take 30 days, going through each chapter's information and recommended movements/poses and breathwork, however, you can use the book and wisdom at your own pace. Concentrated effort over a specific period of time will create more lasting results, but again, it is your choice of how you use these tools.

Dr. Raven guides the reader through very simple yoga-based movements and breath work, and encourages you to examine and adjust your lifestyle and ergonomics in ways that will enhance and support your ongoing healing.

The book consists of 30 short chapters, one for each day of the program. Each chapter deals with a different aspect of healing the lower back and emphasizes its place in the “bigger picture” of the body, mind and spirit connection. The chapters include one pose or movement for each day, as well as a healing affirmation for meditation purposes. There are black and white photos to illustrate the different poses and movements, as well as black and white and color plates from Gray’s Anatomy.

Back to Balance: Heal Your Spine, Heal Your Life does not offer any medical advice nor is it a substitute for medical treatment or consultation – it offers a complimentary and alternative path to healing. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with other therapies.
